ChatGPT Convo Delete helps users select and delete conversations from their signed-in ChatGPT account.

INFORMATION THE EXTENSION ACCESSES

The extension reads conversation links and identifiers from the ChatGPT sidebar. When the user chooses Delete All, it requests conversation history metadata from ChatGPT to identify conversations. These responses may include conversation titles and other metadata, although the extension uses conversation identifiers and counts. The extension does not request conversation message bodies.

The extension obtains a ChatGPT session access token to authenticate history and deletion requests. This token is kept temporarily in memory and is not saved to persistent extension storage.

HOW INFORMATION IS USED

Conversation identifiers, operation counts, and request results are used only to perform user-requested deletion actions and display progress. Diagnostic messages may include conversation identifiers and API responses in the browser's local developer console.

DATA SHARING AND STORAGE

All extension processing takes place in the user's browser. The only network requests made by the extension are sent directly from the user's browser to ChatGPT over HTTPS using the user's existing signed-in session.

The extension never sends conversation titles, conversation contents, conversation identifiers, session tokens, browsing activity, or deletion history to the developer or to any developer-operated server. None of this information is received by or stored on the Railway server that hosts this privacy policy. That server only displays this policy and is not used by the extension.

The extension does not use analytics or advertising, sell or share user information, or maintain a user database. It does not save conversation data or session tokens in local storage, extension storage, or on developer-operated servers. Temporary identifiers, counts, and the session token exist only in browser memory while the extension is running. Diagnostic messages may remain temporarily in the user's local browser console according to the browser's own behavior.

ChatGPT's handling and retention of information on its servers are governed by OpenAI's policies. This extension does not control OpenAI's server-side retention and cannot undo completed deletions.

USER CHOICES

Deletion requires user confirmation. Users may disable or uninstall the extension at any time. Disabling the extension does not reverse deletions that have already completed.

LIMITED USE

The use of information by ChatGPT Convo Delete complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the conversation-management functionality described in this policy.
